Q & A
How many blood samples can be simulated with one full cartridge?
One full cartridge can typically simulate at least 4 blood samplings and can extend over 10 with proper blood mixture viscosity. (Powder vs water ratio)
Why are four cartridges included in the kit?
Although cartridges can be refilled while inserted in the lancing device simulator, it is often faster to remove an empty cartridge and insert a prefilled one. In some cases, using prefilled cartridges helps support a smoother simulation flow and quicker turnaround between uses.
Does the simulated blood stain?
The simulated blood is washable and designed to clean off easily under normal use. It can usually be removed from clothing, skin, and manikin surfaces with cold water. On more porous surfaces, such as some metals, dish soap, warm water. In the toughest cases light scrubbing may be needed. For best results, avoid leaving the liquid on surfaces for extended periods before cleaning.
